Gargantuan cats
Simcha weighs 11.9 pounds. Osher is 11.4. And to think that they started out so pitifully scrawny!
Simcha tried to escape today by running out the front door. He got as far as the platform one floor down... and then he heard the pounding rain and felt the cold wind. He came back very quickly, tail between his legs.

Well a little harsh reality goes a long way for all.....cats included!
Sounds like your babies are growing, healthy and very much loved.
So are their parents.

LOL - aren't house cats supposed to be like 8 pounds? Overcompensated a bit for their undernourished state when you first got them...
Well, I guess a few more bad weather encounters might convince Simcha once and for all that he'd rather stay home...until spring anyway!
I don't think there's any "supposed to" with cat weight, Holly. It depends on their size and build to begin with, just like people. Cleo is down to 10 lbs after being much heavier but is still healthy and active, bless her heart. She IS 20 years old!

Well, that's our goal....to amuse YOU!!!! :-D

They are by no means gargantuan! They are average, for their weight. Our moose cat, Romeo, weighs in at a lap busting 23 pounds! Calli is 11.5 pounds and Tiki is 10.5 pounds...Sam is a still growing kitten, at 9 pounds. My advice: Stop feeding them "Kitten" food at 10 months!
